Maybe you know the great song "In the days of old, in the days of gold, in the days of '49".
It's about digging for nuggets. I am a musician and I am digging for licks. Not a hard work to do. You only need time and many, many tries. Writing 100 songs in a year or in a month. The secret is not to interrupt the flow if the gate is open. My little PCM-recorder does not disturb me like a software with plenty of task...
Let us assume: one day in 40 years you'll find your nugget. (Who knows?). What would you do? Give it away? For what reason? Show the nugget to the barkeeper? Keep it secret at your grave?
I know many people are digging for a big nugget. What will you do if you find it?
Will you remember the old advice: "Don't give your gold away!"? Haven't found a good answer yet. Satisfying answer.
I know we lost the bank to change nuggets to dollars and this will not change in the next decades. But we are still digging.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)
