Yeah, weird one, I know. I'm sure some of you out there enjoy your games. But some of the guys doing music for games deserve far more recognition than they get.
Here's my list of games with soundtracks I think just kick you-know-what.
Left 4 Dead 2: It's got banjos. It's dark. It's brooding. For atmospherics and scene setting, it cannot be beaten. It's brilliant. It's even my ringtone. If you play Left 4 Dead 2, the 'saferoom' music is my ringtone (I also have 'the tank' music for my ex-wife). I've even done a template here based on it.
Command & Conquer: Pretty much anything by Frank Klepacki gets my vote. Awesome soundtracks.
Quake 2: I just love the industrial metal tracks of this version of the game.
Inferno (old '90s PC game, sorry): Alien Sex Fiend blowing my socks off.
