Biografia e influenze musicali

I'm an English bloke living in the Scottish Borders and working in Edinburgh. I have a sax-itch which I scratch by trying to improve on tone and technique and by playing in local pub bands, when pandemics allow. I'm always on the look out for somewhere to stick my horn

Wikiloops is a tremendous resource for practice, collaboration and experimentation and I have been made to feel very welcome from the word go; thanks one and all

Strumenti

Saxophones:

Tenor is my main horn, then baritone. I'm a tad wary of the alto and whether I can play it properly on a given day. I am on nodding terms with my soprano, but we aren't friends yet

Tenor: Sequoia horn, Morgan Fry and PPT mouthpieces, Légère synthetic reeds

Baritone: Bauhaus horn, Pillinger and PPT mouthpieces, Légère reeds

Alto: SA80(I), Lawton and Pillinger mouthpieces, Légère

Soprano: Conn-Selmer, various mouthpieces none of which I like, Légère
