I guess having a brother that's 8 years older in the sixties played a big part in how I was influenced. Stones early on. Paint it Black was quite a haunting little melody to a 6 or 7 year old. The Beatles and Top Forty AM radio through the late 60's early 70's.
Yes, Rick Wakeman, ELP really caught my ears and imagination. Album Rock in the early 70's and the beginning of FM stations started to open my eyes.
My tastes have generally do not go along the company lines and it's still that way.
It really does depend on the mood or better yet the mood I'd like to be in. My personal music therapy is truly an ongoing adventure.

I played Trumpet in HS and college. Pretty well blew off the college experience...it's pretty fuzzy and they asked me not to come back.
I picked up the bass around 2001 and have yet to put it down.

There in lies why I'm here. It's not always so easy to find quality or anyone for that matter to jam with, especially in the middle of the night...being a night owl.

I hope to contribute at some point. Lots to learn.

Bass, Trumpet.

Trumpet not so much these days. It is much harder to keep up one's trumpet chops than bass chops. :D

My 2 current fav basses are a G&L Fallout a Sandberg Lionel. Both are fine instruments and a joy to play each time I pick them up. Not sure if I do either justice but they're not going anywhere 🙊

Garage Band via a Macbook Pro.
Tascam US-1200 interface w/ the stock software.

Really unsure as to how to make this all happen.
I have figured out how to hear and play along with tracks.
Now to remix.
This could be interesting...and time consuming.
I'll get it...and when I do, I hope it opens up a whole new world.
