Cold Bars

As I get up everyday
I watch the light outside
I can’t seem to escape
These four walls inside
The bars u sees are so cold
Cold to the touched
But I know
They’ll come a day
When I face that board
Give me my probation day,
And then I won’t have to sit
In this room looking out through the bars
You see them bars are just too damn cold
I watch the light out in the yard
Looking out through these bars
And when that day comes
When they set me free from this place
I’ll try to live a different life
Without theses bars
Because their so cold
Ah so cold
Now it may be hard
For me to fit back in society
But anything better
Better than what I have right now
Because these bars
Are so cold….
And all I can do
Is sit here and looked out to the yard
Through these cold cold bars
