Done pulling mixes. I previously did this track and had a Phil Lesh style rambling bass in mind for it. However the version I did , is a muddy , unclear mess. I have over 65 hours on this track, 180 something mixes. Has to do with lo mid frequency issues from all the adds I did. I removed the bass I did and cleaned it up. I hope I didnt horrify Ray and Shi with everything on here and cutting up the song and ...

now this certainly sounds different LW...I like that kind of retro full on and funky sound that you got going on here and it's nice that you extended the track too, liking the horn section and the organ too and that cool guitar sound, got to be big thumbs from me :) +2

LittleWing I have a new tool. Not all the time, but if a track is going very well, I obviously want your vocals to shine. Alot of time is spent adjusting your volume manually whenever a backing track has soft and loud sections.I used a new software called a "vocal rider". You just turn it on and it automatically rides your vocal track volume up and down with the track volume. It save 2-3 hours easily. The second thing I used on your vocal was invented by the Beatles. Its called Abbey Road ADT(Automated Double track). Its very subtle. What they did was take the vocal mike and split it. One cable went to the recording console, the other went to an old reel to reel tape machine and then straight out back to the mixing console. The vocal that went to the tape machine, took a little longer to get there and it lags behind the original vocal by a thousandth of a second. This creates so you have two vocals with one lagging slightly behind. This thickens the vocal and widens it also adds depth. Now its all software but the concept is still used to this day and if you see "Vocalist Tape Delay" that is what it does. Wonderful singing Shi. +1

LittleWing Great track, Ray. It is difficult to express, but the retro funk vibe reminded me of memories long ago playing with a horn section on stage. This song was alot of fun. Thank you! +1
