Hi Dick,
thanks for your continued efforts to improve the platform.
I wanted to let you know that using Safari as browser with macOS Monterey the playback bar does not work.
I do not know if others have reported this problem.

Quick shoutout to Dick for the new version. Didn`t think I`d get used to the update that quickly (creature of habit), but it now feels as if we`ve had this version all along.

The bugs that keep being reported don`t seem to impact the main functionality, so as long as we can all listen and record (and comment) it seems to be minor stuff and with the speed in which Dick has reacted to bug reports....I think we should be grateful how Dick planned and implemented this release. Just think back to blue screens, Dr. Watson and the like. This here went pretty smoothly.

Re markers: What I would find helpful would be to not to have to drag the colored markers but to (additionally/alternatively) be able to enter timestamps for the markers. I usually have an arranger line on my DAW that shows me that the intro goes to 34,5 sec, chorus 1 to 58,3 sec and so on. As I already have that, it would be easier to be able to enter those values instead of dragging the colored bars around. (And no, I enter those values manually on my DAW, there`s not automatic part recognition :D )

...i don t know if it can be usefull but GigPerformer has a cool Streaming Audio File Player that could give some ideas in this way ...

Thank you very, very much for noticing, it did indeed.
See, just look at any wikiloops page, if you see a track (be it as a listing, in the player, wherever) or if you see some musicians image or username, then absolutely all of that is being served thru a different back-end compared to a week ago. It does not necessarily look any different, but with that in mind, this update went absolutely smoothly.

I fixed the following issues tonight & just delivered:
- Lyrics missing linebreaks (thx Ernie)
- bug in tracklist sorting on profile (reported by ivax et al)
- thumb button seems to be multi-clickeable (reported by rootshell et al) - note, only one thumb per user was counted, this was just a visual glitch on the button
- Member search bug (reported by Grathy)

I'll share a link or some screenshots of the old version some time, so you guys can have an A/B look once you are accustomed to the new version :)
That usually has even more "aha"-effect then the other way around ;)

I'll continue checking what's going on with the safari reports, sounds like the player needs a bit of tweaking to work properly on some devices.

Anyone have problems with the player on Android/Chrome? Since this morning, the default has changed to no autoplay, no autoloop, no waveform and the speaker output is deactivated.

Problem exists only for tracks in the 'newest tracks' list. Player for tracks in my feed works fine.

Wikiloops doesn’t “stream” anymore on IPhone (IOS 18.1 - Safari) while phone moves to screen saver from web display…

It could be me?

Hi Dick !

The mute button of a track works well once, but if we click on it again to come back to listen to the new version (this way allows me to listen well what has been added) it does not work anymore, I have to close the track and reopen it to listen to the latest version. Otherwise the orange and blue colors of the play button are great! :)

Looks great I and lot of work we don't notice on the out side. Correct my if I 'm wrong but but as I recal in the version before 15 you cloud choose between mineur and major keys in the last version you couldn't choose from that any more but it you cloud see it in the description of the song. In this version a only see the tone It's played in not majeur or minor. When I look for a backing track. It was verry helpful when I searched

The new version is cool, Richard, thanks for that first :)

And since Joe (LittleWing) mentioned me on his LUFS suggestion: I think it would be too much to add more in the player, but I agree on the -14LUFS as a proposed standard volume - I even mostly used -16LUFS and -2dBTP (true peak) until now, which would be compatible with almost every streaming platform out there.

In case you don't know how to get there quickly, consider using Ardour for mastering, you just select those maximum and integrated volumes during export of your songs - done.
