Because my two favorite guitarist play completely different,Al Di Meola and Allan Holdsworth. I have developed my own technique geometric shapes to form extended runs and arpeggios that can span the entire guitar neck. I don't think in terms of scales or modes anymore. I think of geometric shapes as bridges and ladders as I like to call them, that connect them all together. It's not the standard way to play. It's an unorthodox approach. It's those legato arpeggios that are very Holdsworth like that your hearing in my playing that hint at his music and playing approach.

I always feel kinda like a bull in a china shop when I play with others. I try not to step on any toes. I really enjoyed jamming along with you on this one. thanks;)
