On the back of my pony
I ride into town
Dead beat and thirsty
With the sun going down

We walk to the stable
And I water him grand
I wink at the keeper
And he understands

He gives him a feast
Of fresh barley and oats
Then leads him to a stall
Where he shines up his coat

For my faithful amigo
Wherever i ride him
Well that's where he goes

We drift in the desert
We fly cross the prarie
We swim in the river
Then we ride home to Mary
We dance in moonlight
We glow in the stars
We search in the night sky
For venus and mars
