Gestern Abend in den Nachrichten
da haben sie es prophezeit.
Sie sagten „Es hat ziemlich lange gedauert
doch jetzt ist es endlich so weit.“

Ein riesen Hoch hat uns fest im Griff,
das geht bestimmt mal nicht so auf die Schnelle.
Packt die Badesachen ein, stellt Getränke kalt
wir bekommen eine Hitzewelle.

Jetzt sitzen wir hier bei über dreißig Grad
und werden von der Sonne gebraten.
Schütten Wasser in uns rein, wir lutschen ein Eis
und schwitzen wie die Primaten.

Der Schweiß läuft in Strömen an uns herab
unsere T-Shirts haben dunkle Flecke.
Wir ziehen uns aus, wir gehen zum See
und legen uns auf eine Decke.

Alle Viere weit von uns gestreckt
die Hitze macht uns völlig platt.
Vom Himmel strahlt die Sonne gnadenlos
mit 199000 Watt.
