Most amusing! Nobody plays blues in Bb!!! I wouldn't know how as I'm usually following guitarists who simply love E and A. Have become very good at F# and C# over the years. Maybe I'll change the key back to A so that I'll feel comfortable HA!

how funny, here's me thinking horn players only know how to play in Bb because every second jazz tune is in that key. ha ha.
one naive guitar shmuck here, ha ha.
blues in C# and maybe F# coming up soon +1

No...you've got it right! Saxes are in Bb and Eb. But unless you are playing with those jazzers who accommodate those keys you wind up playing in "Guitarist keys" like E most of the time. This puts a player with a Bb horn in F# or a Eb horn in C#...so you get used to it. Would be very difficult for a beginner to play in those keys. You're right that a tune in Bb puts horn players in C or G which would be easier. I'm just giving you "shit" since I've had to play in F# and C#...forever and am so used to it I hardly ever play in C.
