Langsam, wie eine Schnecke
schleppe ich mich nach Hause.
Auf meiner Jacke sind dunkle Flecke
und das Hemd hängt aus der Hose heraus.

Ab und zu bleibe ich stehen
und schaue mich um,
keine Menschenseele,
die Nacht ist völlig stumm.

Niemand außer mir ist wach,
die Ampeln blinken sinnlos vor sich hin.
Ich gehe schneller und wünsche einfach,
dass ich bald zu Hause bin.

Die Strecke, kommt mir
viel länger als sonst vor.
In der Ferne, so scheint mir,
sehe ich unser Gartentor.

Wie ein Magnet
zieht es mich an,
Ich bin froh wenn ich mich endlich
hinlegen kann.
