Developers blog

a lot of water has been down the river since the last dev-blog entry, and reading the last one, I feel ages have passed since then.

Well, to make it short, I had some life issues to take care of lately, readjusting to a new perspective job- and familywise, but thanks to the mod team wikiloops developed well in the time between.

To keep record, we count 2539 members by today, with 5600 jams up right this minute.

Most of the jobs around the "heap" project have been finished, resulting in a better structured overview about filtering options. It does mess up the startpage a little I'd say after looking at it for some time now, and -sad but true- the better SEO ranking I expected did not happen as much as wished for.

I did do some minor changes here and there, following hints from the community. I apologize for still not having worked around the band segment, I'll have to do it some day soon. With adam reaching 4000+ fans, it would be quite cool to give the stage feature another update. Thought it would last a little longer when I designed it ;)

Due to the growing need for more webspace, wikiloops was changed to another server, then changed once more, because the first one turned out to be too slowish.
A big thanks again to all who donated to help fund the growing costs, and of course to all of you who helped spread the word about wikiloops!!

I consider myself brand new at music creating music, and this site is great for helping me get more comfortable jamming with other artists!
