news from coding kitchen...

spent the whole week working down a list of things to improve on the 6.4 version I am now officially working on.
Mostly user interface changes, not necessaryly more functions, and finally another big step towards modern coding standards.
After sitting down and reading / learning some more, I have finally managed to set up the kind of multi-layered design that is used by most bigger projects these days and has this more "fluent" feel to it than the hard page-reload momentum that we still have on wikiloops these days.
Other changes include post-upload editing of song description and title options (as suggested by hurzel) and other small details I wont boast about just yet...
It is a long list, after a good 40 hours on the code this week, I'm quite happy with the way things progress.

Still looking for people to join the translators team I am trying to keep alive... anyone with some spare time & language skills available?

Its a pleasure to witness around of 1.100 people having fun on wikiloops everyday while I sit at the code... the soundtrack provided is excellent, and big thanks to those who donated to support wikiloops :)

todays stats: 13915 members,
17.545 tracks online

You're doing great work Dick - thank you.

EDIT: Maybe increase the Wikiloops merchandise like T-shirts, coffee mugs, baseball caps, etc to help you fund your baby. The last thing we all want is you to burn out!
