An excellent analogy and solution. I'd contacted the tagger (as an individual and not on behalf of the site) more than three weeks ago and advised him to slow down and become part of the community. Never heard back and it didn't make any difference to his behavior.
As the number of members grow there there may be more need for vigilance in protecting what we all feel is valuable. We can't expect Richard to be aware of every situation. It's up to the community to help protect this precious place.
We are very fortunate that new and more complex rules, which would require policing, don't have to come into play. Richard owns the site and can make unilateral decisions (as he has done). I certainly trust that he has been fair in his judgement and will continue to do so in the future.

I think it was a good call. I don't wish to see anyone left out of the fun here but this is a community and honestly as socially awkward as I am I cannot imagine ever ignoring the request of the host here unless I was going to bounce myself out the door. It was rude to not answer the invite and to keep on with business as usual.
I want anyone who has ever felt like I was messing up a track with an add that was not up to par that I might just be the one the 23 beer statement was about and I am not the best musician so drinking beer and having some fun with the music here is how I learn. I am very thankful for this site and the musicians here. If you hear bad music or see the tag 23 beers on a song from now on, please understand it was a sloppy compliment directed to all those ahead of me on the tree. Well, bottoms up and back to it for me! Cheers!
