I'll tell you the tale of a fellow
who performed as a master on cello
so he bowed and it screached
and before end was reached
one could watch as the audience turned yellow

@Ernie- you win! :D :D

Dick your limericks are great but "ernie you win" didn't fit at all in that last one, it barely rhymed! :D:D

One more for the pot

The Wikiloops chief Mister Kaiser
Drinks coffee as his appetiser
As you sow so you reap
Now he can't stay asleep, so he's
Kaiser the wise early riser!

There once was a Looper called Fred,
Whose guitar licks caused everyone dread,
All his 'best' lines,
Were far from sublime,
And he didn't listen to anyone else as usual.

(apologies to any guitarists called Fred!)

---

There once was a drummer from Dorking,
Whose playing was tone deaf and boring,
When counting to four,
He'd clear the dance floor,
The bass was unable to come in.

There once was a sailor from sweden
who felt that the world didn't need him
full of trust in is lord
he then jumped over board
and returned to the gardens of eden.

____

To point out that Ernie's the winner
without rhyming was me the beginner.
I'll better myself if you let me try,
and I'll praise you in rhymes that fly high to the sky
just to end on a trippled wide grinner :D:D:D

There once was a girl name of Shi
who thought she could act like Jeannie
so she grabbed for that bottle
and rubbed it full throttle
and changed to a pot full of tea

As his wife kissed TeeGee's cheek
She undressed to give him a peek
with a tear in his eye
he softly replied
my blue pills don't arrive 'till next week

By the way Don, when I was writing the Limmerick about that someone with a pink guitar entering the special bar, I had several endings that were, let's say it, a bit more funny - but they all ended with "truckie" :P . I chose the most user friendly :D

OK guys, in light of the recent developments I worked a little on my Limmerick entry and added a second verse (there might come a song?). And just to be clear: I have asked and got the "go ahead" for publication by the man hisself - just a bit of banter and fun :D . I love you Don (but not like Bobby).

----------------------------------------------------

There once was a bearded man from Kentucky*
That some might consider immensely unlucky
He went to this bar
With his pink guitar
And fell madly in love with a truckie

But Don’s* passionate lover, Mr. Bobby Kilmister
Kept a terrible secret, dark and sinister
His genealogy
informed us that he
Was not just Don’s cousin - but also his Sister!

There is a website full of musicians
You can join in without an audition
The loops are all booming
The audio trees, blooming
All ran by a website magician!
