I Googled for Backing track, real drum track and vocal tracks to work with. :)
Was very surprised over the Activity Level, and inspirational tracks.

I was doing a internet search about free drum tracks to use as a background for learning purposes. I dont remember exact search words i did use, but this was first on the list after add's.

Took maybe 15 seconds to study this place until i was "sold" :D

Same here, did a search for backing tracks without bass, and found Wikiloops. The rest is history. I have no desire to play live with a band, Wikiloops is my band. I'm improving with the help of everyone here, and I love being supportive and making friends.

About 2 months ago I was peeping on a Reaper's forum as usual.
One of the guys asked how he could improve his mixing
skills and gave a link to his track on wikiloops.
I got to the site, explored a bit, liked the idea and forgot to bookmark it!

4 days ago I remebered that cool site (what was its name? :o - had no idea)
and spent hours browsing backward every single thread
on that forum until I found what I needed.

I'm a happy member now.
Cheers :)

The reason why I was able to find Wikiloops for the same reason with Keichiro. I was looking for some drum backing track, and then I stumbled here. And I felt that I belong :)

All due to the encouragement of Lutz who was also on a sax site I frequented. I was continually frustrated by the prevalent attitude of sax players who only wished to play "standards". There was little/no desire among them to play anything less then 50 years old and in a very formulated manner although I presented them with continual challenges of new material. Lutz certainly understood my frustration and suggested wikiloops. Haven't looked back as this is perfect for me. NO STANDARDS and all fresh new material in all genres. Open ears, hearts and minds. Couldn't ask for more.

Like others musicians here, I found wikiloops when I was searching for backing tracks via Google. I live in a small city and it is not easy to find other people to jam with. So this here is perfect for me! The whole world to jam with... ;)

I was looking for a backing track! Particularly drums, since I was tired of jamming only with a metronome...Then when I found this site, it has changed my music experience! Certainly the best website for me, none comes close!

I, ( like many others so it seems) was googling for backing tracks and found a forum post on a bass forum talking about wikiloops.

had a look around the wikiloops site and hen went out and bought an audio interface so I could take part.

the best thing is I don't have to lug a heavy bass amplifier anywhere to play in the virtual bands here! - winner!

I am actually returning to bass playing after a(very long ) break.
