Hello .... A little about myself -
My name is Jim …. aka - eX1 ( experimental One )
I have been involved with Music and Art my entire life beginning at age 4 for Art and 8 for Music ... Everyone from my family played an instrument at one time or another and I started on the Accordian in the beginning ...but stopped taking lessons when I began thinking it was not a instrument that was popular at this time period in my life. Rock n Roll was what was happening and I did not think it would be a popular instrument to learn how to play .... So doing Art work was something I really loved doing as well and then pursued it as my main career first and foremost with music being something I would work on more for personal enjoyment when I was able to find time.... Through the years I have purchased thousands of records in every genre available in search for a unique sound or new music :-) I loved doing my artwork as I would listen to new music which many times inspired my artwork as well ... When I found time I then would experiment with all sorts of instruments that I purchased to try in my quest to create new musical experiences including African - Irish - Indian and of course the American made instruments and electronic drum machines and Casio keyboards :-) several years passed by and at age 50 I decided to get a Pro Keyboard to further my quest in the creating of original music. I then purchased a Roland XP 60 workstation and began getting serious about doing something that hopefully would be something people would like and hopefully purchase ... About this same time MP3's were becoming a way of the future for music and I joined MP3.com .... This new technology was so amazing and before I knew it I was learning and working with and learning from Artists of all kinds from all over the world .... This was so incredible and since then I have become so deeply in love with the creation of song I just cannot believe how far I have come in the past 17 years :-) as far as my favorite Artists and influences? Well with my enormous music collection and still growing I must say .... All music influences me. So it is impossible for me to really pick my Favorite ... But I guess if I have to Pick One it would have to be the Band .... PINK FLOYD :)
