haha, u must be a glutton for punishment asking a self critical perfectionist like me for feedback. Id say the playing and groove are ok, but its WAAAAAAYYYYY too busy for my tastes.

Ah ah :), but it's the goal here, play with and listen to the others. Tips or critical comments are welcome. It's your tune, if you have something else in your head for the bassline, or if you don't like what I do you can tell it. So, not sure to understand the meaning " way to busy" ... you will prefer something more "simple", more "sideman" bassline. I will try something else.

well its not really "my" song lol. Its just a jam and anyone can add anything. Me personally, if I were going to put it on an album I would put a more basic bass line that just lays down a groove. How many Stones or Aerosmith songs have busy walking basslines? I dont like the term "sideman". Whats that even mean? I say play for the song. I myself sing and play lead guitar and also play bass so I dont get my ego wrapped up in any of those particular things....each one just tries to do whats needed for the situation. for instance I have played lead guitar for almost 30 years, but not every song needs a guitar solo.
