So we lit the torch
but first, we filled it with oxygen
and kerosene
we sent it off to distant lands (worlds)
to see what we could see

all alone, just 7 billion souls
we circle around the sun
and now the planet it feels so small
that we have seen it all
time to spread these wings

and so we look through looking glass
at satellites of worlds, we cannot reach
and more and more these lands
become the objects of our dreams

So we lit the torch
