Thanks! I tuned The fat string down to D, so I can drone D on the 6th(fat) string and on the 4th("d")
while playing a (mostly)chromatic riff on the 5th string [a c c# d]

Me too! that's why i try to explain the 'constraints" i impose on some pieces. they are like exercises to not use my standard tricks. But i always sound like me anyway! -but
