Oh please don't cry and yell at me,
Nor point your white swords down.
I’m just a weather virgin
And I fear your clouds that frown.

Your thunder is so angry
Like a father who is cross
Who blames me for an issue
Like a mean and angry boss

Dear sky, please don’t cry….

You sweat upon our lawns so dear
The fish fly from their ponds
Seeking safety underneath our cars
They spring from dampened lawns

The gators then come out to play
Across the roads you see
Horny, hungry for a mate
They aim right for your knee

The snakes they slither to and fro
Invasive species too
As times they settle for a toad
If not, a dog will do

The bugs they’re bigger way down here
As they fly into your face
They love that sweet smell of your sweat
As they invade without a trace

It’s futile to attempt a shower
Because when you step outside
You’ll change your shirt each hour
As the sweat stays by your side

But this is home for me right now
My tropical paradise
Where weather is so moody baby
Like the rolling of the dice.
