Just got my recording interface and I am learning how to use pro tools. Just playing around with some of the features. Not really sure exactly what I would classify this as, but I hope someone can put something with it to flesh it out. Thanks for listening. :)

Very nice, Thurston! :) And because of the title I first assumed that you recorded this using an amp and a microphone, until I read your description :) Maybe a tad too much reverb? It's a matter of taste of course, but as a bass player I always try to leave some room (also sonically) for others... just a thought :) +0

Thurston Thank you wjl! That's exactly the feedback I am looking for. Constructive and ultimately helpful. I am still very new to bass, and don't have really any experience with effect pedals or really EQ in general. Are there any resources you might recommend? Thanks again! +1

wjl You're welcome Thurston :) And you might want to look into the forum posts like the one in https://www.wikiloops.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=2004 - or ask anyone whose bass sound you find good. These days I mostly use compression on my main, and a bit of eq and chorus on a second channel (I take the lows out before sending the signal into the chorus, so that only my upper registers get that kind of effect). That's for fretless, I currently have no fretted bass. On my main channel I always use both a high and a low cut. Hope that helps a bit? :) +0
