Excellent poetry and well read. Obviously pertinent to your current situation. I was fortunate, or unfortunate (depending on your point of view) to have the opposite situation. The siblings had to support the mother for many years in being blind and then insane. A difficult situation that brought us together in sympathy.

Oh, how tragic. It seems every family has its hurdles. I hope you are all getting along now...

Well, considering we live in three different countries, I guess we're OK. I have a sister who is 91 and she's getting kind of "difficult". Two other sisters live close by (younger) so she has company and help if needed. Living in New Zealand and Australia I'm not exactly "handy" to anyone. We were all previously living in the LA area. I left in 1980... permanently. The others moved to Canada. I still have a brother in Orange County. I think you also lived in LA?

I lived in California all my life until 3 years ago, when we moved to Florida. I miss elements of LA, but it's very expensive, crowded, and there are lots of problems with the homeless, etc. But I miss my pals, but I see them on Zoom a few times a week for our improv classes.
