A slap on stage,
Barbed words are spoken,
As millions see,
The unveiling of human atrocities.

Is this how it starts,
Two people,
A public forum,
Laying the foundation
Of wars between nations,

Countries gather,
Bombs annihilating the innocent,
A bloody world stage,

As obedient soldiers
Continue fighting over
An unknown feud,

Many don’t even know
Why they’re really there.

Perhaps it was just
Some lame argument
That started with a slap,
Creating caustic carnage
For all the world to see.
