So Powerful Mary!!!! I too feel the same way. For me it was Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, etc that made me feel so inspired and to be so optimistic about the future for everybody. But now I am not the same" and feel sad. I think that is because when I was young I felt our "life" was improved and getting better due to the work of our elders. But now I feel defeated as an old man because we are leaving so much "trouble" for our children and grandchildren.

I know....I don't have kids, but I'm sure it's unsettling knowing that life is such a challenge now. I used to walk to school, ride my bike or the bus....Never worried about guys, abduction, etc...
