I Was Right All Along

It started in High School way back in the day,
Mr Champion was my teacher who taught me to play.
I Learned about theory and all about songs,
I new that one day I'd be writing on my own.

So time passes by and life goes on,
All I had time for was work and nothing for songs.
My life seemed like it would never let me alone,
So I could make the Music and Write those songs!

I Knew in my heart where my talents were found,
I Knew that I Could do it in time.

After 30 Years of working for others dreams,
I retired and had time to do what I please.
I Picked up and old Keyboard and started writing once more,
I Knew I had the music in me, I just didn't know where.

I Practiced for hours and days and years,
I wrote a few songs that didn't please my ears.
I Struggled with octives with my super low voice,
till it dawned on me one day, that that voice would become dear.

After 5 years of training myself to sing,
I got published by the pros and really started to advance.
I wrote and performed hundreds of songs,
And I soon Found out that "I Was Right All Along!"
