There’s and old car
Traveling down the road
Its chrome is shiny
From what its been told

Wheels rolling
Down avenues and streets
A few potholes along the way
To the stop signs it meets

Rains come, storms too
Still the paint is shiny
Whitewalls too
Even though it’s briny

But roads have a way
Of denting the finest chrome
They sharpen tires
Before they’re blown

And now the car is crinkled
But still it rolls on
A rip in upholstery
Antennae is blown

60,000 miles
And so far to go
A few more tune-ups
Before everything will show
