Another Storm (tribute to the tropical weather)

The swelling of the sky has started.
Soon it will be here,
When the clouds furrow their brows,
And pout at the lands below.

Again, they are upset at something.

Their anger builds
Until they can hold it no more.

I hear them growl
They bellow
From far away at first,
As they cluster closer,

And start to sob
From the heavy weight
Of holding
Dark tears gathered
Throughout the day.


Nature's Song-(three haiku poems)

Evening mutes to gray,
Black silence on the waters,
Before crickets sing.

Forming a new day,
All dark before the sun blinks
As colors ripen.

Its beak attentive,
The early hunter is out,
Sharp sword swift to stab.

Afternoon clouds sigh,
The evening blush lets them know
That their day is done.

Gray paint coats the shore,
Gesso for the day to come.
What colors today?

The clock tells me time
To get up and start my day.
Fog tells me to sleep.

The grass, damp with tears.
I heard someone cry last night,
Sorrow from the skies.

The gray mist quiets
The terrain that tries to speak,
Wildlife muffled.
