Wind howling through the trees,
slithering through the fingers
of the leaves…

Maybe they’re waving at me?

They look friendly,
but they’re not.

Nature has a funny way
of putting us in our place,

We think that we’re in charge
since were of the human race.

But the face of nature
and it's many moods
wily, windy
rainy pools

That gather and flood
in any random neighborhood
Who is in charge?

You tell me,
Perhaps it’s something
from above.
