Eric's template is an Excellent lesson in composing and performing quality Avant-garde jazz which is different from free jazz. Avant-garde jazz emphasizes structure and organization and is stylistically different in that it lacks Free Jazz's thoroughly improvised nature and is fully or partially composed. Brad and Kras skillfully build a sheets of sound "soundscape" that raises the excitement with more structure using counterpoint and improv. Fantastic ad Dan for a track just like that. Compliments to everyone. The new music uses compositional and improvised parts, it seems that musicians are now trained to be able to do both. After that, personal preferences decide. I read that in a book about jazz in Germany. Convincing. +2

The only method I have is definitely listening but the key for me is constant practice and sometimes it pays off!!
