I took the track from Bluesy Lucille and added in his isolated guitar track bumped up 2db to bring his guitar lead out to the front so it was easy to hear and less easy to overpower, then I added my harp track panned away from the guitar and cut down 6db after normalizing it. I added a noise gate to the harp track and added a bit of reverb and then mixed the tracks down to a single stereo ...

BluesyLucille I have often been a soloist in bands. With Wikiloops, I changed my approach, I play for the song and abandoned my ego, which ultimately didn't bring me much.;) +2

baronfum Yeah, I get that. But it's not about ego, it's about the balance in the mix. Whoever plays the lead should be the lead, that's why it's called the lead, but at the same time a lead with no support is a thin voice no matter how good the player. In the end, you have the right attitude, we're just two old guys who like music trying to make some music together with some other guys. The goal is to adjust the mix so we ALL sound good. :)

In my case I just try to not suck too much, and then I'm happy. :D +1
