SoulFingers The sound of that Precision changed significantly since I replaced the Fender nickel strings with Rotosound nickels. In my ears it sounds a lot more beefy. Cheers bro! :W +1

Ernie440 haha well .. it was a completely round tone, something to be said for that as well. :D Your precision sounds awesome .. I'll have to dig out my jazz bass one of these days. Fender really are great basses. +1

SoulFingers I read that Jamerson about his strings said „the dirt keeps the funk“ and his bass was said to be almost unplayable for most other bass players, high action, extra heavy flatwound strings etc. And then he plucked only with one finger and the result were basslines line the one in „darling dear“. He really did his own thing!
