Magnesium and Chromium
Potassium and Sodium
Copper, Iron, Zinc and Manganese

Pulses, nuts and cereals
Vegetables with every meal
Real men are strong and tough
But eating meat is not enough

Real men eat metal
It puts them in fine fettle
It strengthens neural pathways
And keeps them in the loop
Their stomachs are well settled
They don’t just grasp the nettle
They stick it in a kettle
And boil it down for soup

It’s biology and chemistry
that make us who we want to be
From ionic interactions to
their role in enzyme function

For our bone and blood and tissue to be there
We need metals, that is clear
From the stars that went before

That exploded, were reborn
Give us nutrients and dawn
Give us strength to carry on
