Long Is The Night

0The bed’s so empty Baby and it’s feeling oh so cold. Much more than it should be lately , is it getting old or maybe I’m kinda thinking you’re too far out of sight and I could take to drinking baby , oh but I don’t like to go down that road, ‘cause it’s all downhill, baby how long is the night. Get up early in the morning and I know I’ve hardly slept and I hate to see that dawning mm how many secrets I have kept, I’ve whispered to my pillow but he don’t have ears to listen, and you ain’t here so I can’t tell you just what you’ve been missing, so I’ll drink a little coffee and try to make things right, how long is the night, how long…. Another restless evening and the time is only three, I wish that it was leaving but it sticks so close to me, I see that it’s still dark outside but time is standing still and there is nowhere left to hide and so much time to fill, spending all day watching the clock, who listens to my plight, how long is the night.
