Bien sûr il me restait l’ivresse
Errant pieds nus sur la chaussée,
Clamant tout haut mon allégresse
A cette nuit qui m’éclairait,
Chassant les spectres tel un prêtre
Sorti d’un bouge mal famé
Perdu dans mes pensées étranges,
Les poings serrés dans mes poches crevées,
Je regardais s’envoler les anges,
Dans l’indicible volupté,
De ma terre bleue comme une orange,
Du temps des rêves oubliés.
Perdu dans mes pensées étranges,
Les poings serrés dans mes poches crevées,
Je tutoyais la cité des anges
En lui demandant qui j’étais.

ON THE ROAD TI L.A.
Lost in my strange thoughts,
Fists clenched in my torn pockets,
Speaking with Angel's City
By asking her where I was.
Only under the astrolabe sky
Who told me his verses,
With the feet of my poetry
To make my voice a verse,
I was tracking the words that bother,
To awake the cursed.
Lost in my strange thoughts,
From the bottom of my soul misguided
I cursed the City of Hell's Angels
Wondering where I was going.
How to tell them the mire,
Which I had fallen as a hero
Talk to them to be or not to be,
Fire dying braziers,
At dawn finally get them to admit
The stubborn beauty of the world?
Of course I still had drunk
Wandering barefoot on the floor,
Proclaiming aloud my joy
To that night that lit me,
Chasing ghosts as a priest
escaping a speakeasy
Lost in my strange thoughts,
Fists clenched in my torn pockets,
I looked ar rhe angels taking flight,
In the inexpressible pleasure,
My blue earth like an orange,
From the time of forgotten dreams.
Lost in my strange thoughts,
Fists clenched in my torn pockets,
I wandered across Angel's City
Asking them who I was.
