Heute bin ich schon
ganz früh raus.
Zusammen mit den Hunden
aus dem Haus.
Über den Feldern lag noch Nebel
doch der verzog sich bald.

Eine Wandertour über das platte Land
macht mich froh, wenn ich es euch sag`.
Mmh, was für ein wundervoller Tag.

Vom Himmel schien die Sonne,
es war heiß.
Auf den Feldern stand der Weizen
und der Mais.
Gegen Mittag wurden wir müde
und machten eine Rast.

Eine schöne Bank direkt am Wegesrand
nahmen wir in Beschlag.
Mmh, was für ein wundervoller Tag.

Heute Abend bin ich müde
nur ein Bier.
Vom Wandern habe ich Brand
wie ein Tier.
Die Hunde liegen gemütlich
um mich herum.

Heute Abend werde ich bestimmt nicht mehr alt,
ich gehe früh ins Bett weil ich es so mag.
Mmh, was für ein wundervoller Tag.
