Thanks GemmyF. I'm new to this. Please explain what you mean by "pan it a little more to the middle". Thank you!

When You record, you are probably recording as a stereo track, it should record as a mono track. that way your input will be dead center, right now it is all in the left channel. Since the track you imported is a stereo track and you mic is probably plugged into a left channel on your USB input---it is only inputting as either--1 channel or part of a stereo channel. I hope that make sense. What I'm wanting you to do is open that project, create another trach which is a MONO track. Then Record a harmony companion Track to the drums and trombone you already played. after you record that, you will hear that is is dead center to the track. there are knobs or virtual knobs that show pan L-R pan your track you just recorded alittle toward the other trombone. HOPE this helps. You should watch videos on your software online--but they all basically work the same.
