Ein glückliches Kind

Bunte Bilder handgemalt und die Sonne strahlt
alle Farben bunt gemischt, ein lachendes Gesicht.
Die Welt war einfach, die Welt war schön
von dunklen Wolken nichts zu sehn.

Ich war ein glückliches Kind //

Ich war klein und hatte keine Angst
denn ich lebte hier im Wunderland.
Mein Vater war der größte Held
erklärte mir, seine Welt

Er sagt der rechte Weg im Leben
wäre gerade und eben
Und Geld verdienen sei nicht schwer
wenn man nur fleissig und ehrlich wär.

Kirchgang am Sonntagmorgen
doch man fühlte sich geborgen
Und hinterher da war es schön
da durften wir ins Kino gehn

Nun hab ich all das vergessen
war nie ein Teil davon gewesen
Denn langsam wurde mir dann klar.
Das ist ja alles gar nicht wahr!

I was small and had no fear
cause I lived in here in wonderland.
My father was the biggest hero
exclaimed his world to me

He said the right way in life
was straight and even
And making money wasn’t hard
if you just be diligent and honest

Sunday morning church
but I felt so secure
And then it was always nice
we could go to cinema

Now I forgot all of this
never been a part of this
Because I slowly became aware.
All of this isn’t true.
