Thanks so much for Dan(Itocpogo)and GrooveEnth's play on this. I just put in my Daw and on my out I had a limiter that I added some gain on the track(in the limiter) yet the output at -1.2dbs---Plus I increased the volume on the "Track" to about +3.5Dbs which brought the volume up too. So now a drummer can pound away!!!!!!

Havent you got a "Maximizer" on your DAW? This is what I use if I want to increase the volume a bit, especially if it does not have too many high peaks +1
GemmyF
GemmyF I'm 60--- Maximizers, Schmacsizers!!!
NO way Jose!
No push button solution for me!

TeeGee it is similar to a limiter, but maximises. It is also quite nice to use if you have a vocal track where there are very quiet bits, you can make them pop up without the need to compress a lot. But yes, you need to twist those buttons +1

GemmyF In my band I hated when our"sound" man --the guy who owned the equipment used a maximizer--It took my beautiful Direct in ToneLab tones and made them ugly. also my vocal pedal it did the same thing to it too. So saying that and also trying it in my DAW I just don't like it. I use my timeline and the rubber bands to increase my volumes/decrease my volumes and my effects and my pans..... Hands on guy here...just think if I would just push that one button I could have probably done 1500 tracks by now of course THEY all would sound like dookie instead of 9 tenths of them sounding like dookie! +1
TeeGee
TeeGee Like with any powerful device you have to be responsible when using it. But I respect your way of doing things, it works for you so... :) +1
