I would take 2 elements with me: a) Current and stimulating and b) a little past

a) Elliot Sharp, example:

Yamandu Costa in classic Portuguese-Brazilian technique, example

Hassan Cihat Örter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxVd4H9oZ0s

b)Past:
Manitas de Plata https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKDc49DG5mc
José Greco had a super flamenco troupe in the US

So many great lists in this thread, I will give it a try:

Deep Purple - Machine Head (first album I bought with my own money)

Van Halen - 1st album - one of those albums that you play it the first time and say 'holy sh . . . '

UFO - Force it - play the heck out of this one in High School - Schenker is a virtuoso

Ozzy - Blizzard of Ozz - speaking of guitar virtuosos - and Daisley is one of my fav bassists

Soundgarden - Superunknown - was obsessed by this band in the 90s - Cornell was such a great artist

Alice in Chains - Facelift - also obsessed with this band in the 90s - the guitar, the vocal harmonies, awesome

Cream - Disraeli Gears - live verson of Deserted Cities of the Heart is the song that made me want to play bass - and he is singing lead on the song at the same time

Sly and the Family Stone - Stand! - such an eclectic mix of sounds and voices and instruments with strong groove and great lyrics

David Bowie - Young Americans - what a genius Bowie was - the songwriting, the grooves, the lyrics

Rainbow - Rising - an obsession of my college years in the late 70s - Blackmore and Dio, doesn't get much better than that

to answer the question... I can’t go anywhere with just 10 records. But I can tell which 10 albums was created big part of my musical mentality. Sometimes rebel-one, sometimes quiet-one... but all of them opened my mind and heart for the world and pushed me to exploring it until my last breathe.

1. Massive Attack - Mezzanine
2. Groundation - Hebron Gate
3. Prodigy - Music for the jilted generation
4. The Roots - Things fall apart
5. Outkast - Aquemini
6. Erykah Badu - Mamas gun
7. Asian Dub Foundation - Community Music
8. Ninja Tune - The art of zen relaxation
9. Fat Freddy’s Drop - Blackbird
10. Dub Spencer & Trance Hill - Riding on the strange horses

And finally one of the most important songs in my life:

Okay 4 years later this is hard. I just try to keep the Loops alive. All I can do is compliment brothers and sisters, I stopped producing music, but I didn't stop listening when I was needed. Think I handled it well, my spiritual tracklist that I posted on the first page didn't change, I thought it would, and that's interesting. There was a lot of new music around. Still, I would go with what i wrote. So, that means, after a while, you have your standards. For me it's like really heavy metal, plain, melodic, technical, and some sort of hip hop bc I was raised with it, but you know where the similarities are, same with jazz, and classic, but still, even if I came from the acoustic guitar, and turned it into metal and I had nothing, only a PC and a guitar and that's it, that 10-albums-list I made didn't change. I wonder what makes it different. Is it the instrument that you play? The Lp's you own? The knowledge you gain through contacts and gigs?
Since I can't answer these questions alone, I ask you. If you want, share your thoughts on that.
