Yep, no durians on planes is the rule. There is something called Dodol, which is durian paste and comes in tubes. Never tried it, not a fan of durian, but will bring some across. Also will bring Malaysian coffee beans for the Steinfeld wakeup! :D

Wade, I think most airlines going to/from Malaysia forbid them. Too many complaints maybe ;)

Sorry about that...Yes, all too familiar with hotels and such that forbid durians. We can get them frozen in New Zealand and Australia, but there was recently a scare in that some horrible chemical was found in the frozen ones. The trick with durians is to not take a whole fruit and just the fleshy seed sealed in a double bag. No smell, no problem. Many a hotel in Thailand was never the wiser for my having them in there.
No need to bring anything for me...was intended as a joke knowing how all public accommodation and transport freaks out about durians. Was supposed to be an "in joke" for our side of the world.

I don't know if it's the right forum spot, but like earlier years I'm planning to bring my Hevos amp with 2x10 and 1x15 speakers and I'll toss in my little TC electronic 2x8 which can be used in the acoustic if needed. Still thinking about bringing the old 5-string fretless BB5000 along as a 2nd axe.

Wikiloops has not only improved my bassplaying, but I have also made new friends around the world! For example I visited Wade in NZ last year.
