Grady Martin, Captain of the 'A' Team and subliminal sculpture of my taste in music when I was a teenager. I didn't know of him back then while enjoying the many popular records by various artists that he played on but thankfully discovered who he was later in life.
Found this cool short interview about him....

There is snow lying here for a week now, so I thought I might need to freshen up on the snow safety instructions - I strongly suggest y'all have a listen for your own safety.

Yesterday I've got an email from a friend of my youth. He was the lead singer in the first real band I've played with, and that band's name was "Maraya".

So I'm currently listening to some albums he published on bandcamp since a few years, here's his address in case you're interested. Meet LevonThomas:

Just wrote something about an ad I saw - but it's in fact so much more than an ad (or else I wouldn't mention it here):

The original and Chet Atkins' version are the best, not a big fan of those other versions :D

Just found myself playing the bass in 1978 (or 1977, but this was released in '78), in a studio which at the times still belonged to EMI Electrola in Cologne. So as a shameless self plug:

Thanks for listening. I actually like Mike's voice and guitar playing, and some of the background horn players were also cool... :)
