Hi,
my name is Stefano and I am a 51 years old man.
I come from Italy but I live in Vienna (Austria).
I came here for "accident": I was searching something else related to the music and I saw the link of the site in Google.
Curiosity was always been my best friend and I started to lurk here.
What I saw here were "just wow" and I decided to enter in this community.
Little bio: I am a bassist, ex professional. I play bass since I was about 14 (37 years of "marriage" ).
My musical interests are Pop, Rock and Soul mostly, but I like a lot Funky too. I am not a jazzist even if I studied it in a private school of modern music. I played also trumpet for 10 years long but now I don't play it anymore.
Now I haven't any audio interface because I sold a lot of stuffs when I moved from Italy to Austria so for now I just see, listen and comment what the others do. I will buy audio stuffs as soon as possible.
Ciao :)

hi and welcome.
you can always use a line out or headphone out from an amp if it has one into a computer, and download audacity (it's free) just to get your feet wet.
then I bet after a while you will dig out your trumpet too and start practicing on that :)

I know it but i dunno why, Audacity doesn't work with my Behringer amp emu. In my PC opinion, there's no link between it and the Behringer so Audacity looks at me and says: "Hey man, any problem? Why are you looking at me?".
Cables are ok, the bass works, PC, as for as i know, is ok and Audacity works.
I don't want to get mad to check 2000 stuffs, so i will buy some real audio interface. ;)
Thanx for the welcome, all :)

Don't use Behringer, never, ever
Being a little more constructive:
Go to control panel and then sound and see if you can find the behringer unit there, if so, try to fiddle a little in order to activate. (hard to be more specific here)
If not found, go to the device amanger and see if you can find the unit there and try to fix any problems

Thanx a lot for the tips. My problem is that I am not a studio-man, but just a musician ;) Today i cannot, but in the next (2) days i will try do do as you suggested. I will let you know the results :)
