I would first maybe listen around for for a songwriter/vocalist who you like and feel fits your style.then just message them politley if they would be interested in your lyrics.

Hi. Thanks for all your suggestions and thoughts.
I think you may have confused me with one of my family members in Scotland or Ireland. I play singer/songwriter genre, some blues, Americana, some country. Like that.
I am Celtic, lived in the UK for a few years. Have lots of family there. I do love that music, but can't write it.
I put the notice the way I did because I have learned that few musicians want to collaborate. So, I don't text the guys/gals who have melodies I like. I usually get the response of Oh, I don't know, ok, if you want, etc. I"m very experienced and want someone who wants to do it, not just will.

I usually find lyrics posted on the forum and use them. If you find a song you would like to be used for the lyrics try posting the lyrics in the comments of the song but be sure to post a link to it on the forum so people can find it.

Thanks for a good idea. But I'm looking for a relationship for collaborating. I work best with personal familiarity and that limits it to one or two people for me. It's a good idea you've given me though, and I appreciate it.

Well, I guess that is the dream of all of us composers. But I learned you need to show up on stages with people to meet the "one". Isn't this a good stage for this purpose? In the good old days you needed to use a "Bierdeckel" now you have "Remix"!

There are really plenty of open projects to join in any possible ways. Just do it.
