The pain of excecution,
Is the torture of a moment,
But the curse of resurrection,
Is an unrelenting torment.
Is this life,
Or just a parody of death?
Victor, I will take my answer,
When you draw your final breath.
A horrified reflection,
Of a face that should not be,
Looks for purpose and direction,
In the fool you made of me.
Is it pride,
Must you succeed where others fail?
I am lost and I am loveless,
But yet somehow you prevail.
Victor I will find you,
In your heart you know it too,
One day I'll be behind you,
When that comes what will you do?
Could you face me?
Could you look me in the eye?
Oh, what stories might you tell me,
On the day that we both die.
Is the torture of a moment,
But the curse of resurrection,
Is an unrelenting torment.
Is this life,
Or just a parody of death?
Victor, I will take my answer,
When you draw your final breath.
A horrified reflection,
Of a face that should not be,
Looks for purpose and direction,
In the fool you made of me.
Is it pride,
Must you succeed where others fail?
I am lost and I am loveless,
But yet somehow you prevail.
Victor I will find you,
In your heart you know it too,
One day I'll be behind you,
When that comes what will you do?
Could you face me?
Could you look me in the eye?
Oh, what stories might you tell me,
On the day that we both die.

Wisdom is knowing that Frankenstein IS the monster.

This occurred to me while listening to / practising bass with:
[wl]259108[/wl]
Which is a piece I greatly enjoyed over the holiday period. Challenging (for me anyway) as you try to keep with the drummer and then feel you are putting in too much for the melodies David created.
Anyway, I had fun. Can't see how the lyric actually fits unless it was spoken... But I liked the mood - although there would be no bullets in my vision :)
