I've used the SVT plugin which is based upon https://ampeg.com/products/classic/svtcl/ in the past. See also https://guitarix.org/

I used it heavily for a couple weeks, and off and on nowadays. Alot of the plugins are very cool, but it is not without bugs (dropouts and odd gui issues). The sounds are very clean, without a lot behind the scenes amping, which I like.
