You gotta do a whole mountain of stuff,
Before ya got nothin' to do,
But you ain't done nearly half of enough,
To make me want to listen to you.

You gotta travel a long hard road,
Before ya got nowhere to go,
No easy way you can lighten that load,
And you can take it from me 'cause I know.

First you will stumble,
And then you will fall,
Then you pick yourself up off the ground,
You won't necessarily,
Beat it next time,
But you'll know it when it comes around.

You gotta kiss a whole pond-full of frogs,
Before ya wind up with a Prince,
But this Hare runs far ahead of the dogs,
Now she's only got herself to convince.

Oh man, you can talk till the cows come home,
And still have nothin' to say,
That's my piece said now I'm ready to roam,
I guess I'll see you on that judgement day.
