Does anyone here have or has played a Charvel guitar? I've mostly been a Fender Strat / Gibson Les Paul type player but the Charvel's are intriguing me with the Seymour Duncan Pickup sets and the ability to coil split as far as tonal varaition goes. I don't find my current strat to be "bad" but I do miss having a little more versatility. So...Charvels anyone with experience with them can you let me know build quality overall etc anything to help me make up my mind between one of them and a Fender Player 2 Modified. Thanks in advance if anyone has thoughts!

Hey Dan,

If you keep your actual strat, don’t buy a player modified. (Notice you can modified yours or switching the whole pick ups configuration)

About Charvel, I have never played them but for sure, the Seymour Duncan pickups will provide different tones than your current ones Iwith the LP or the Strat.
I do love their logo for years as well.

San Dimas model is a legend !
Most of « modern » models have also a true Floyd Rose.

I vote for a Charvel!

Tell me!

my first US strat, I pulled the humbucker and replaced it with a Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon (huge George Lynch fan growing up). gave me a
different tone for solos, etc. heard lots of good things about Charvel but never played them.

my last purchase was the Fender HM Strat - https://www.fender.com/articles/instruments/a-cult-classic-reborn-inside-the-fender-hm-strat
fun to play but I need it worked on and dialed in.

good luck with your next guitar search.

The San Dimas is on the way. I was thinking of the Fender's but wanted to branch out from the C shaped neck. Fingers are crossed 🤞 Thank you guys for giving your input!

She has arrived...and what an amazing guitar. It's a Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 and even out of the box direct from the factory I was able to pull together this (track #341557) with it once I got a decent stretch on the strings.
