Here's what I see when I get a new notification in the new music heading:
Oooops! If you ran into this message, we need to apologize! Something seems to have struck the database, so it could not handle your request. We are working to solve the issue - please refresh this page by F5 button after a short while!
Unable to establish connection to MySQL
2002 : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

sorry for not replying any sooner - that kind of message is something... that tells us our server is scratching the edge of what it can handle, traffic wise... so, thats not a "bug" in the original sense... its just a reminder that we'll need more server power sometime soon.
It may however also appear in times when someone is doing server maintenance... or some coder has come up with a script that goes wild...many options :)
